ABSTRACT: This is a paper on how structural engineers help in the sustainable development of a country and how they have innovated methods of sustaining structures through experimentation and site analyses. This also covers the importance of structural engineers in sustainability. A definition of sustainability and development as separate terms give the main meaning of what sustainable development is.
